PEARS IN RED WINE WITH ICE CREAM
A delicate dessert with an intense and autumnal flavour, perfect for warming up at the end of a meal.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 Pears
- Red wine 600ml
- Sugar 400 gr
- Water 400 ml
- Gelato Fior di panna, Egg Cream, Vanilla or Mascarpone of your choice
PREPARATION
- Pour wine, water and sugar into a saucepan and bring to the boil slowly
- Add the pears in slices (previously peeled if you prefer)
- Reduce the heat to low and cook for 10-15 minutes
- Take out the pears and set them aside while you reduce the liquid until it has a syrupy consistency
- Immerse the pears back in the saucepan and warm them before placing them on a plate and drizzling them with the warm syrup
- Take the chosen flavor of our gelato and place it on the syrup next to the pears
