Our commitment
How was it bornMenodiciotto?
It all originated in the family restaurant, the then two-starMichelin "Al gatto nero".
It was here in the 1980s that Luca Grassi began his first experiments with milk, eggs and fruit to create the perfect gelato and offer his customers an unforgettable end to a meal.
With study, dedication, and passion, Luca succeeds. Thus, in 1986, he decides to focus on the production of high-quality gelati and sorbets, opening a small artisanal workshop.
Since then, we at Menodiciotto have never stopped. Year after year, flavor after flavor, dream after dream, we have grown, winning over true gelato lovers both in Italy and abroad. The secret? Maintaining the same quality of small-scale artisanal production even with larger quantities, thanks to research and continuous experimentation.
Our gelati and sorbets are made with simple, genuine ingredients, and the cold (-18°C) is the only preservative we use.
That's why we are called Menodiciotto

Milk produced in our dairy farm
Eggs from free-range farms
Fruits seasonal
We believe in the importance of preserving traditional farming culture and selecting raw materials from their source. That’s why we established a dairy farm with over 100 Montbéliarde cows to produce the milk we need directly.
Thanks to the hay fields attached to the farm, we take care of feeding our cows and ensure they have a healthy and peaceful lifestyle.
An ethical choice, for both the final consumer and the animals, aptly encapsulated in the name we chose for this project: IoAgricultura. IO is not only the name of the mythological white heifer into which Zeus transformed the priestess he fell in love with, but it is also the personal pronoun that evokes the concept of “I” in Italian, emphasizing personal involvement and responsibility.

vegan
Most of our fruit flavors are naturally suitable for a vegan or dairy-intolerant diet. Additionally, we have developed a specific line of vegan gelati that are completely free from milk and other animal-derived ingredients.
kosher dairy

he Halal certification ensures that Menodiciotto's products and processes comply with the requirements set by Halal standards, demonstrating oversight of the supply chain and the processing of raw materials.
Maestri del gusto
Since 2006, the Chamber of Commerce of Turin has awarded us the title of Maestri del Gusto, recognizing Menodiciotto as one of the region's gastronomic treasures. Since 2014, we have also been listed in the section Oltre i Maestri del Gusto, dedicated to companies that have grown through innovation while preserving their artisanal nature, becoming ambassadors of quality and taste both nationally and internationally.
Sustainability
Thanks to the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roof of our company, over 30% of the energy we use comes from renewable sources. We also promote a recovery culture against waste by creating tubs and jars that can be easily reused as containers.
